Shreyas Iyer, Mumbai's Vijay Hazare Trophy-winning captain, will continue to lead the side in the Ranji Trophy.

India opener Prithvi Shaw is uncertain to play in Mumbai's Ranji Trophy opener against Railways, but could eventually make the side if he clears a fitness Test prior to the game on November 1. A PTI source said that young Prithvi Shaw, wasn’t considered for selection, as he was still recovering from an elbow injury which he sustained during a Deodhar Trophy match.

Senior pacer Dhawan Kulkarni has been named as deputy skipper in the 15 member squad announced by the Mumbai Cricket Association Thursday evening.

Other regulars Akhil Herwadkar, Siddhesh Lad, Aditya Tare have been made it to the Squad.
