The incident took place in Malad (W) area where a two-wheeler hit a traffic policeman who was trying to stop a two-wheeler coming in the opposite direction. In this accident, the hand and leg of the policeman was seriously injured and the Malvani police have registered a case against the bike rider. Police are looking for the biker who is at large.
Police Constable Hemant Bagul is working in Kandivali traffic department and he was deployed to regulate traffic at Jankalyan Nagar in Malad (W) area on Thursday. At that time, Bagul saw a biker riding a bike in the opposite direction. Bagul immediately warned the biker to stop. But instead of stopping, the driver accelerated the bike. At that time, Bagul asked the bike rider to stop. But the speeding bike rider hit Bagul. So Bagul fell down. After that, the bike rider fled from there.
In this accident, the bone of Bagul's right hand was broken and his left little finger and left leg were injured. He was taken to Shatabdi Hospital for treatment. According to the police, a case has been registered against the unknown bike rider on the complaint of Bagul and the police are searching for the bike rider.
