Mother kills child by throwing him in the well

A 23-year-old woman drowned her one-year-old son in a water tank in the Vashind area of Bhiwandi. A case has been registered against the woman in Padgha police station and the police have arrested the woman. Investigation revealed that she took the extreme step due to family reasons.

The woman lives with her husband, son and mother-in-law. Suddenly on Tuesday morning, the boy went missing in the house. The terrified family searched everywhere for the boy. The woman started pretending that her son was missing, however, her husband became suspicious and questioned her.

She then confessed to throwing the child in the water tank at the house. After the woman's husband informed the Padgha police about this serious incident, the police reached the spot. The boy's body was recovered from the water tank. 

Police detained the woman. When she was interrogated, she confessed to the crime adding that her mother-in-law used to be over protective towards her child. She also informed that she took this extreme step due to family reasons as well. Her husband filed a complaint against the woman in this case. Padgha police said that the police arrested the woman after this complaint.
