Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis said in the Assembly that a law will be brought in the state to stop paper leaks. The Central Government has made a law regarding distribution of papers in adherence to competitive examinations. Process is underway to bring such a law in the state as well.
MLAs Balasaheb Thorat, Rajesh Tope, Ashish Shelar, Bhaskar Jadhav, Anil Deshmukh, Prakash Abitkar, Rohit Pawar had raised questions about paper leak and proper conduct of the examination. Responding to which Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis said that this government has done the historic feat of filling one lakh posts in two years.
The government had announced recruitment for 75 thousand posts. Out of these, 57,452 people have been appointed, while the process of appointment of 19, 853 people is going on. Recruitment process is going on for 31,201 posts. The recruitment process will continue continuously in this next period. Group 'C' category seats will be allotted to MPSC in a phased manner.
Deputy Chief Minister Fadnavis said that irregularities have come to light in the examination conducted for gazetted posts under the Soil and Water Conservation Department. Therefore, it was decided to cancel the said examination. Action is being taken by the Soil and Water Conservation Department regarding re-examination and measures to be taken to prevent malpractices related to this examination. He also said that the exam will be conducted by TCS and IBPS.
