Popular Bollywood director Sangeeth Sivan passes away

Popular Bollywood director Sangeeth Sivan, who directed films like 'Apna Sapna Money Money', 'Yodha', 'Kya Kool Hai Hum', has passed away. He breathed his last on May 8 (Wednesday) evening. The film world is mourning the death of Sivan. In his career, he directed many famous films from South cinema to Bollywood.

From Malayalam superstar Mohanlal to Bollywood stars Sunny Deol, Riteish Deshmukh, Shreyas Talpade have paid tribute to Sivan. The cause of the director's death is yet to be revealed. Sangeeth Sivan's younger brother and National Award winning cinematographer Santosh Sivan shared this sad news on Instagram. Apart from this, Riteish Deshmukh has also expressed grief over the death of the director by sharing an X post.

Actor-director Riteish Deshmukh worked with Sivan in 'Kya Kool Hain Hum' and 'Apna Sapna Mani-Mani'. The actor writes, “So sad to hear that Sangeet Sivan sir…is no more with us today. When you are new in the industry, very few people believe in you and give you a chance".

I am forever grateful to him for 'Kya Kool Hain Hum' and 'Apna Sapna Money Money'. He was a very soft-spoken, humble and wonderful person. I am very saddened to hear this news today. I share in the grief of his family and loved ones, his wife, children, brothers. Da…you will always be remembered. Like Ritesh in Rest in Glory, actors Shreyas Talpade, Sunny Deol have also paid tribute to Sivan.

Sangeeth Sivan started his career with the movie 'Raakh'. In which Aamir Khan and Pankaj Kapoor appeared in important roles. He worked as a producer in this film. After that, he made his debut as a director in the art world with Sunny Deol's film 'Zor'.
