The V. Shantaram Lifetime Achievement Award given by the Department of Cultural Affairs, Government of Maharashtra has been announced recently. Every year, the Maharashtra state government honours the veterans of the film world for their special contribution to the film industry. Cultural Affairs Minister Sudhir Mungantiwar recently announced the prestigious awards.
This year, 'Chitrapati V. Shantaram Lifetime Achievement Award 2023' has been announced to veteran actor Shivaji Satam. So, veteran actress Asha Parekh will be awarded the 'Late Raj Kapoor Lifetime Achievement Award 2023'. In this regard, Sudhir Mungantiwar has given information by sharing an X post.

Kudos to the winning artists
The 'V. Shantaram Special Contribution Award' of 2023 will be presented to famous writer, director and actor Digpal Lanjekar. Apart from this, the 'Swargiya Raj Kapoor Special Contribution Award' has been announced to senior writer, director and editor N. Chandra.
