People use their hard earned money to buy their dream home, but, this very dream shatters when builders dupe buyers. However, Maharashtra Real Estate Regulatory Authority (MAHARERA) is striving to give hope to such buyers who have complained and some have received justice.
It has been reported that one of the buyers who was duped by the builder received INR 26 lakhs back when he complained to MAHARERA.
Recently, a Thane resident Ramnath Nevale had filed a complaint against Lodha builder for duping him. He had paid INR 1,08,000 and booked a home in Lodha Builders Ultima project, in Thane. Nevale decided to call off the booking and asked for his booking money, but, Lodha Developers denied.
Having no option, Nevale went to MAHARERA and filed a complaint against Lodha Developers. On Tuesday, a hearing took place after which Lodha Developers returned the money to Nevale.
