Worli - Makar Sankranti is considered an auspicious festival and on this day women celebrate it with exchanging haldi-kumkum. The same was celebrated with enthusiasm at Vitthal temple of Worli where women came together and sought blessings of lord Vitthal. “We celebrate this festival every year at Vitthal temple. It feels good when we get to celebrate this festival in a traditional way,” said Varsha Kadam, a local resident.
Makar Sankranti is all about forgetting bitter and sad moments which happened in the past and welcoming the new phase of life which is full of purity, knowledge, and wisdom.
