In the three-page letter, Bhujbal has been threatened multiple times to not speak against Manusmriti and Shiv Pratishthan Hindustan chief Sambhaji Bhide. The letter states that if Bhujbal continues to do so, he will also be killed like Rationalist Narendra Dabholkar and MM Kalburgi.
Earlier in Nagpur, Bhujbal during his speech criticised Manusmriti saying that he has faith in the constitution of Baba Saheb Ambedkar and not in Manusmriti.
