MSRTC gets 2,104 fully assembled buses from Ashok Leyland

Ashok Leyland Company, the Indian flagship of the Hinduja Group and the country's leading commercial vehicle manufacturer announced that it has received the largest single turnkey bus order for 2,104 units of Viking passenger buses from the Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation (MSRTC). This will help to strengthen Ashok Leyland's dominance in the bus segment.

MSRTC is one of the largest state transport corporations in the country with over 15,000 buses. With this order, Ashok Leyland buses will dominate the fleet. These modern , fully equipped buses will be fully compliant with the new CMVR standards. It includes AIS 153 compliant body and proven iGEN6 BS VI OBD II technology with 197 HP H-Series engine, also the rear air suspension will be among other important features. These buses will be manufactured at Ashok Leyland's exclusive bus body plant with state-of-the-art technology and will offer improved enhanced safety, greater comfort and lower total cost of ownership for MSRTC.
