Mumbai Suburban District to organise Cycle Rally for Voter Awareness on May 1

Voting for the Lok Sabha elections will be held on May 20 in Mumbai North, Mumbai North West, Mumbai North East and Mumbai North Central constituencies of Mumbai suburban district. District Election Officer and Collector Rajendra Kshirsagar has said that to increase the voting percentage, a cycle rally will be taken out on Maharashtra Day i.e. May 1 at 6:30 am.


The cycle rally will be organised in collaboration with the initiative of Election Commission of India, Bikes Mumbai, Mulund Riders and Office of Mumbai Sub Collector and District Election Officer. The cycle rally will start from Mumbai Suburban Collectorate, Bandra (East), Mumbai. The rally will then travel through various routes and culminate at four locations in South Mumbai, NCPA, Andheri Sports Complex, Prabodhan Thackeray Theater in Borivali, Kalidas Natya Mandir in Mulund.

Lok Sabha elections are the national festival of democracy. Various awareness activities are being implemented through 'SVEEP' initiative to enable more voters to vote and perform their duty in this festival. This cycle rally will be organised as a part of the same.
