The opposition is spreading propaganda that the BJP wants to change the constitution after announcing '400 par' in the Lok Sabha elections. However, there is no such possibility as the constitution was amended 80 times during the tenure of the Congress, BJP's national general secretary Vinod Tawde asserted here on Tuesday.

The then Prime Minister Manmohan Singh had said that the minority has the first right over the country's resources. Tawde questioned whether Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge, former president Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi, along with Uddhav Thackeray, Sharad Pawar also support this stance that the minority has the first right to resources, not the deprived. Tawde explained that it is painful and regrettable that the opposition is campaigning in 'Nachi' and other vulgar and bad language in the state.

Tawde commented on the performance of the Modi government and Maharashtra government, public interest decisions and current political situation in the press conference. Tawde said, the Congress MLA has demanded that the Constitution of the country should not be applied to Goa and the Congress MLA from Karnataka had also made the same statement some time ago. This shows what is the role of Congress leaders. But the BJP announced the election promise on April 14, the birth anniversary of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar. The Modi government started celebrating Constitution Day. Therefore, there is no truth in the allegations of the opposition that BJP wants to change the constitution.

Maharashtra is progressive and leaders like Shiv Sena chief Balasaheb Thackeray, senior leaders Pramod Mahajan, Gopinath Munde, Nitin Gadkari, Vilasrao Deshmukh, Sharad Pawar criticised each other strongly for a long time. But the level of language was always maintained.

The opposition should see what the Modi government has done for the people of Maharashtra. Maharashtra received 33 percent more share in taxes during the Modi government than during the UPA government, while subsidies increased by 253 percent. As the Center has provided an interest-free loan of INR 11,711 crore to Maharashtra, it is being used for many projects.

You will get seats according to your strength.

Each party in the Grand Alliance will get seats according to their strength and seat allocation will be done soon. Tawde mentioned that we have decided how many seats to give and who will be the candidate and it will be announced at the right time. He also said that senior leader Eknath Khadse will join BJP soon.
