On Sunday, July 24, the Mumbai Traffic Police issued a press statement highlighting that Aarey Road has been temporarily closed on Monday, July 25, from 00.01 to 24.00 hours.
This is being done because works are being undertaken by the Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai (MCGM) and the Mumbai Metro Rail Corporation (MMRC).
Therefore, for the safety of the citizens and motorists travelling through the Aarey colony in the Dindoshi Traffic Division, the said decision has been taken.
Aarey Road has been temporarily restricted to vehicular traffic today from 00.01 to 24.00 hrs due to ongoing work by MMRC & MCGM.

However, those living in Aarey Colony have been permitted to make use of the Aarey Road. On the other hand, motorists and the public can use the JVLR Road to reach either Powai or Marol and vice versa.
Citizens have been urged to note the above-mentioned changes and are requested to co-operate with the police.
With the MMRC and MCGM conducting many works in Aarey Colony on Monday, traffic on roads from Aarey Colony to Marol Naka and Aarey Colony to Philterpada in the Dindoshi Traffic Division needed to be diverted on Monday, from 00.01 hours to 24.00 hours.
In light of these developments, it became pertinent for the authorities to issue an order about traffic management to ensure that the citizens are not inconvenienced.
