Colaba - On Monday, the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) demolished the structure of the four-storeyed Shanidev building at Colaba. According to the BMC officials, the building was constructed without any sanction and even illegal floors were added. After noticing the illegal construction, the BMC had issued a stop-work notice in 2014. The notice was issued under Municipal Act 354 A. The demolishing of the building is being carried out and they will complete the process within a week, said the BMC official.
