Portion of a dilapidated building collapses in Kurla

As per reports, the incident happened on June 18, 2020, and rescue teams rushed to the spot. No injuries or casualty was reported.

On Thursday, June 18, 2020, a portion of Kurla's Nita building collapsed at around 12 noon. As per updates,  no casualties or injuries have been reported. Concerned officers, rescue teams and firefighters had reached the scene and the debris will be removed soon. 

Ward L's Nita building in Mehtab lane was sealed as it was in the dilapidated condition. After today's incident, officials immediately rushed to the spot and shared the information.

PTI quoted, "A corner portion of the four-story building located in Mehtab Lane collapsed on Thursday noon. No one was injured as nobody was staying in the building. The cause of the collapse and the damage is yet to be assessed." Sharing more information, Assistant Municipal Commissioner, Manish Walunj said The team had reached the spot and the investigation was performed 

The building was declared dilapidated in June 2019 and the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) had issued notice to the residents to vacate the premises.
