After the defeat in the Lok Sabha elections, the Mahayuti government in the state has started preparation for the upcoming assembly elections. As a part of that, there are moves to implement the 'Mukhyamantri Ladki Bahin' scheme for poor women in Maharashtra on the lines of Madhya Pradesh. Under this, poor women are expected to be given INR 1200 to INR 1500 rupees per month. Sources in the ministry informed that this will put a financial burden of INR 15 to INR 20 thousand crores on the government's exchequer annually.
The Mahayuti government is gearing up to win the upcoming assembly elections. For that, preparations are underway to bring new attractive schemes for various sections of the society. Two major schemes are being drawn up to woo the women and youth vote bank in particular. In order to win the hearts and votes of the women in the state, it is planned to implement the 'Mukhyamantri Ladki Bahin' scheme in the state on the lines of Madhya Pradesh. The government had recently sent a team of officials to Madhya Pradesh to inquire about the scheme.
After this team studied the plan, it is understood that the work of preparing the 'Mukhyamantri Ladki Bahin’ plan is in progress. Sources informed that it will be announced in the monsoon session of the legislature.
Shivraj's format
Before the assembly elections held last year, the then Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, Shivraj Singh Chouhan, introduced the 'Chief Minister Ladli Bahna' scheme. In that election BJP again won a majority in the state defying all predictions. Even in the recently held Lok Sabha elections, BJP won all 29 seats in Madhya Pradesh. The 'Ladli Bahna Yojana' is believed to be the key behind both these victories. Now the Shinde government has prepared to implement this model in the state.
