Wadala - Overgrown grass and shrubs growing wild in the BPT Colony premises are turning into a menace for residents. The rampant vegetation has become a breeding ground for snakes, leeches and insects of various kinds. Residents' woes about the worsening condition of the colony have been compounded by heavy rains that have caused water stagnation, doubling the incidence of waterborne diseases. The Wadala Mumbai Port Trust has assured residents that the grass and shrubs growing wild will be cleared in a phased manner within a span of two days.
