In anticipation of large crowds gathering for the Silver Jubilee celebrations at the Sai Baba Temple, the Thane Traffic Police have implemented special traffic regulations, including road closures and diversions. It will be enforced daily between 5:00 pm and midnight till May 2, 2025.

The measures aim to manage the expected influx of devotees and maintain smooth traffic flow. Organised by the Shri Sai Baba Trust, the grand celebrations are scheduled from April 28 to May 2, 2025. 

Cultural Programs and Community Feast to Attract Thousands

The five-day event will feature an array of cultural activities and a bhandara (community meal) on the temple premises. Thousands of devotees are expected to visit daily, making crowd control and traffic management essential. The area comes under the purview of the Kapurbawdi Traffic Sub-Division, where Deputy Commissioner of Police Pankaj Shirsat is overseeing arrangements. To minimise disruptions, alternative routes and access restrictions have been planned.

The Thane Traffic Police shared the traffic advisory on social media platform X. They wrote, "The 25th anniversary of Shri Sai Baba Temple will be celebrated by Shri Sai Baba Trust within the limits of Kapurbawdi Traffic Sub-Division from 28/04/2025 to 02/05/2025. To avoid traffic congestion in the said area, entry will be closed and alternate routes will be provided."

Details of Road Closures and Traffic Diversions

1. For motorists travelling from Saket to Kasheli via Balkum, road access will be restricted at the junction near Lodha Casa Royal Society. These vehicles are required to take a left turn at the Lodha Complex and continue via Majiwada to reach their intended destinations.

2. Similarly, vehicles coming from Kasheli towards Saket via Balkum will encounter road closures at Balkum Naka. Drivers will need to proceed straight and travel through Kapurbawdi Circle to continue their journey.

Essential Services to Remain Unaffected

Despite the road closures and diversions, vehicles associated with emergency and essential services will not be restricted. Exemptions include fire engines, ambulances, oxygen transport vehicles, police vehicles, green corridor services, and other vehicles that will provide critical services.

Authorities Request Public Cooperation for Smooth Celebrations

The Thane Traffic Police have appealed to all residents and visitors to follow the traffic arrangements and cooperate fully with authorities. The collaborative effort is intended to ensure that the Silver Jubilee festivities take place peacefully and without disruptions, allowing devotees to celebrate safely.
