A fire broke out in a three-storey building near Ashok Mill Compound on 90 Feet Road in Dharavi around 4 am on Tuesday, may 28. A total of six people were injured in this accident and they have been admitted to the hospital.


On hearing the news of the accident, fire brigade personnel, 108 ambulances, and police rushed to the spot and started relief operations. The fire broke out due to contact with electric wires. In this fire, the wooden furniture of the building was completely burnt. Also, other items were heavily damaged.

After realising the increasing intensity of the fire, the fire brigade announced it as a level 2 fire at 4:40 am. Meanwhile, after a great effort, the residents trapped in the accident were evacuated. Salman Khan (26), Manoj (26), Amjad (22), Salauddin (28), Saidul Rahman (26), Rafiq Ahmed (26) and six others were injured. They were immediately admitted to the nearest Sion Hospital for treatment. At present, all the patients are stable and undergoing treatment. At the end of their efforts, the firemen managed to bring the fire under control at 7:40 am.
