A shutdown was conducted by MIDC on June 2 and 3 for repair work and on June 7 a shutdown was conducted at Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation's Morbe Dam main channel and Bhokarpada Water Treatment Center to carry out necessary work related to pre-monsoon water supply.
On June 10, Morbe Dam Project of Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation’s 2024 mm diameter water channel burst. The said repair work was immediately taken up and completed on a war footing by working round the clock.
In this way, the citizens had to face water shortage for the last week due to disrupted water supply due to technical problems. The citizens of Navi Mumbai cooperated well with the municipal administration by understanding the difficulties during this period. As per the instructions of Municipal Commissioner Rajesh Narvekar, the necessary works have been done promptly through Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation Water Supply Department. Under the control of City Engineer Sanjay Desai, Additional City Engineer Manoj Patil, the Water Supply Department planned and restored the entire water supply system.

Today, from June 12, water supply in Navi Mumbai has started smoothly and 472.87 million litres of water supply has been provided.
