In an insane batting show, Virar's Makarand Patil recently registered a record for hitting seven 6s in seven deliveries (six 6s in an over). Batting at number eight, the 23-year-old smashed six 6s in an over and went on to win the match for his team Viva Supermarkets in the Times Shield tournament against Mahindra Logistics at the Sachin Tendulkar Gymkhana.
Patil played a quick knock of 84 runs from 26 balls to ensure his side Viva Supermarkets clinch the F division Times Shield tournament. His father is a farmer and since his feat, Patil has been flooded with phone calls and messages.

Accordingly, Patil joins the list of Indians who hit six sixes in an over along with Yuvraj Singh and Ravi Shastri who achieved the feat in international and domestic cricket respectively.
The youngster's achievement comes in a Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) banner tournament and at a ground where MCA holds his Indian board junior age group games.
Meanwhile, the youngster wants to make things better for him and his father and aims to join the Mumbai team.
