In the U 14 Lashkaria Cricket League, Naman Payyade, MIG sports Club and Olympia Sports won their respective matches on Day 6. Naman Payyade beat Goregaon sports club by 57 runs.
MIG scored 213/6 in 30 overs and bowled out GSC for just 156 runs. Gaurav Dewali scored 47 and Vedprakash Jaiswal a quick fire 103 off 46 balls. In another match, MIG sports club beat Mahim Juvenile by 69 runs. Batting first MIG scored 211/9 in their allotted 30 overs. Mahim Juvenile could make only 142/5 and lost the match. Arjun Dani scored 81 of 66 and was adjudged the Man of the Match. Olympia Sports won their match by 65 runs beating Venus Sports Academy. Olympia score 181 in their 30 overs and restricted Venus Sports Academy to 116/8. Archis Kulkarni and Harshavardan Yada were the architects of their victory.
The third edition of the Lashkaria Cricket League began at the Goregaon sports club on the 16th April. This is a unique tournament, especially for U 14 kids. Matches are played in a round-robin league format with each match of 30 overs. These matches will be played over a month at various venues including Goregaon sports club, MIG, Shivaji Park, Payyade Kandivali, Aarey Bhaskar ground and DPC Matunga.
