Wadala - The Wadala TT police have arrested four persons from Kamla Nagar for attempting to grab the property of man by proving him 'dead'.
Sources say the Yadav couple, residents of Kamla Nagar, are both affected by a deadly disease and frequently travel to Uttar Pradesh for medical treatment. Fearing theft due to their absence in their house, they had deposited their property-related documents with the man’s brother who also resides in the same area along with his family. The apparently greedy brother, identified as Komal Yadav, in connivance with his wife Ramdulari and son Sudhakar, hatched a plan to grab his ailing brother’s property by securing a death certificate of one Ramesh Wempty.
Later, they erased Wempty’s name replacing it with the ailing brother’s name and declared him dead, so that his ration card could be updated accordingly. When the couple returned home, they demanded the property documents and the ration card. Komal Yadav and his wife Ramdulari however allegedly assaulted the couple, who immediately contacted the Wadala TT police station to register a case against Komal Yadav and others. Interrogations revealed the attempt to prepare bogus documents and arrested the duo and two others under relevant sections of the law.
