A 16-year-old youth was killed in a dispute over a mobile phone in Malad. In this case, a 20-year-old youth living in the neighbourhood has been arrested and a case of murder has been registered against him by the Dindoshi police. The deceased youth has been identified as Fardeen Yunus Khan (16), a resident of Dhanji Wadi, Malad East.
A case under Section 103 (1) of the Indian Judicial Code has been registered against his neighbour Amir Gullu Sajeda (20) in connection with his murder.
Three cases have been registered against the accused in Dindoshi Police Station and one in Vanrai Police Station. According to the police, both live next door. Fardeen had taken the accused Aamir's mobile phone. He did not return it. Due to this, there was a fight between the two on Wednesday. A fight ensued between the two. Aamir's nose got injured in it. Enraged by this, Aamir attacked Fardeen with a knife.
Fardeen, who was seriously injured, was admitted to M W Desai Hospital. The doctors declared Fardeen dead. After that, the police arrested the accused Aamir. The knife used in the murder has not yet been found and the accused is being investigated.
