Navi Mumbai: Woman Police Officer Dies by Suicide Due to Husband's Taunts

A woman police officer working in the Navi Mumbai Police Force chose to commit suicide after being fed up with her husband's repeated behavior and taunts. The incident took place on Tuesday afternoon at the Zenith building in Marathon Nexon Society. 

The name of the dead policewoman is Sneha Godse. 26-year-old Sneha lived with her husband Akash, 28, in Marathon society. Akash was working in an IT company. When Sneha realised that he was having an extra marital affair with a woman working in the same company as her husband, Sneha told Akash not to talk to her. Meanwhile, Akash was getting irritated by her behaviour and he started taunting her, as per the complaint filed by Sneha's sister.

“I will talk to the woman, I don't want you, it will be better if you die”, he used to taunt her. The fight between Sneha and Akash increased. He repeatedly told Sneha that she is not needed as the girl he is seeing is educated and has a high paying job.

Helpless Sneha committed suicide by hanging herself at 12:30 on Tuesday afternoon. Sneha had repeatedly informed her relatives about Akash's illicit relationship and Akash's behaviour. She complained to the police many times, but it had no effect on Akash. 

As Akash did not give up on his extra marital affair, she committed suicide on Tuesday. The police have registered a case against Akash for provoking Sneha to commit suicide.
