Indian Police are considered to be one of the best police forces in the world as officers across the nation work relentlessly to ensure safety by maintaining the law and order. This is one of the proud aspects which adds to our patriotism, said Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra Ajit Pawar.
He addressed the officers, on Wednesday, and paid tribute to the officers who sacrificed lives for the nation while in the line of duty. The force along with several other ministers gathered for the Police Commemoration Day event which was held at Police Memorial Ground in Naigaon.
The Indian police, which is responsible for maintaining law and order in the country, has on several occasions fought wars on the border, to protect the country. While several have been injured, many policemen have lost their lives while fighting the enemy against several national issues. Besides this, officers from several departments of the police force have been fighting an invisible enemy day and night and have risked their lives for the betterment of the society.
Sharing more about their role, Ajit Pawar added that the Indian police has shown unparalleled bravery on many fronts, from fighting enemy forces like Pakistan and China to facing the terrorists during the Mumbai terror attacks.
The police, who are responsible for the protection of the lives and property of the citizens and the security of the country, is fighting on many fronts. By maintaining law and order in the country, the police are the only ones who create a safe and conducive environment for the development of the citizens. The police are working for hard always and keeping this in mind, he paid his gratitude to the ex-servicemen, jawans and their families.
