A case of sexual abuse of a mentally challenged girl by her stepfather and beating by her step sister's husband has come to light in Thane on Thursday. In this case, the elder brother of the mentally challenged girl has filed a complaint against both of them at the Chitalsar police station. Based on this complaint, the police have registered a case against the accused.


The victim, a 26-year-old girl, lives in Thane district. She has a learning disability and cannot speak properly. She is disabled in one leg as well. This was her mother's third marriage after the death of her father. She lived with her mother. Her second stepfather's daughter and her husband also lived in the same house.

Her step father sexually abused her for a year and her step sister’s husband used to beat her up. The victim's mother died on September 24 due to a serious illness. After the death of the mother, the elder brother of the victim took her to his house.

The victim's health had deteriorated. There were marks of beating on her forehead and body. At that time, when her brother asked her about the injuries on her body, she gestured and narrated what had happened to her. When her brother conducted the medical examination, it was revealed that she had been repeatedly sexually assaulted and beaten.
