Popular Indian OTT platforms, AltBalaji and Netflix, recently released the trailer and album of their upcoming web series, Fittrat. Starring Krystle Dsouza, Anushka Ranjan and Aditya Seal, the story of this show revolves around money, love, friendship and trust.
Aditya Seal who was seen in Dharma Productions' Student of the Year 2, makes his digital debut with Fittrat. In an exclusive interaction with Mumbai Live, Aditya talks about the show, his aspirations and more.
Talking about his excitement of the first web series, Aditya said, "I'm excited because I will get different content to work on. The audience on the digital platforms is different from cinema-goers, and if they like my work and accept me on the platform, then I'll be getting opportunities to on many interesting and challenging roles. Web space gives you the freedom to play the character without barriers. It will make me a lot more relatable to my character and the audience will identify with me as well."
On being asked about how relatable the character is, he added, "I come from a humble background, and I've not seen it from my life experiences. But over the last two years and spending time with Anushka and her friends, I see a lot more people, understand them and tried doing what they've seen. This is a character I've never played and never thought I could. There were times where I had an evil face and u was only trying to portray. I want to play a character of a serial killer now and it is on my cards."
Student of the Year 2 (SOTY 2) gave him the much needed exposure. Sharing his thought on what the film did for him and his future goals, Aditya added, "SOTY2 got me the eyeballs, and I've told my team that if the dates are worked out, I'm ready to work all the days of the year. I want to play characters now. They may not be hero characters or come from a big banner. I want to be appreciated for the roles. What Ayushmann and Alia have done, is what I want to achieve. If you ask me to about what I strive for, I'd say Aditya doesn't strive for perfection. I like my imperfections, and I strive for acceptance. I want the audience to understand that I've had a tough journey."
AltBalaji's Fittrat will stream on both the platforms from October 18, 2019.
