Azad Maidan - Unaided teachers across 43 primary schools demanded the salary as per sixth pay commission or grant them euthanasia. Teachers from the primary school protested in Azad Maidan.Teaching Committee wrote a letter to BMC detailing their demands, for past two years in return to their protest they have only got assurance from the municipal body for the same. In total 450 teachers teach across 43 schools, if teachers go on strike, 10,000 students will suffer. Unaided Teachers Association Head, Vinod Yadav said, "If BMC doesn't pay heed to their demands they will go on strike 'till death'."
