Central Railway continued its winning streak by retaining the number one position in non-fare revenue among all the Zonal Railways. During the financial year 2022-23, the revenue generated through Non-Fare Revenue is INR 87.44 crores as compared to INR 40.41 crores during the financial year 2021-22, showing an increase of 116%.
The Non-Fare Revenue was generated with the new concepts and ideas work such as, Upgradation of the waiting rooms at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus, Lokmanya Tilak Terminus, Nashik, Bhusaval, Nagpur and Ajni.
Identification of 37 new hoarding sites on suburban section of Mumbai Division, Nursing pods at 7 stations, Sleeping pods at Nashik, Rail Coach Restaurants at Amravati, Akola, Nashik Road, Shegaon, Pune and Bhusaval stations. BOXN coal cleaning at Bhusaval and Wadi, 17 Atmospheric Water Generator Kiosks (Meghdoot) at 6 stations, Emergency Medical Room (EMR) facility at Nagpur, Akola, Bhusaval, Jalgaon, Nasik Road, Chandrapur and Ballarshah, Renovation, operations and maintenance of Heritage Rail Museum at Bhusaval. Construction, Operation, Maintenance and Management of Super Market at CSMT and Byculla.
Meanwhile, Central Railway ran 294 trips of time-tabled Parcel Trains, Lease & Indent Parcel Cargo Express Trains in FY 2022-23.
Central Railway registered a revenue of INR 251.49 crores transporting 4.71 lakh tonnes of Parcel & Luggage during Financial Year 2022-23 (April to March).
During the Financial Year 2022-23, 294 trips of time-tabled parcel trains ran generating a revenue of INR 16.05 crores, 33 indent Parcel Cargo Express Trains generating a revenue of INR 11.54 crores and 24 trips of Leased Parcel Cargo Express Trains generating a revenue of INR 3.97 Crores. In 2022-23, 88 SLRs were on lease generating a revenue of INR 55.54 Cr as against 65 SLRs generating 33.13 crore in 2021-22. About 13 Parcel Vans lease generated a revenue of INR 24.01 crore in 2022-23 as against 5 Parcel Vans generated INR 2.5 crore in 2021-22.
At Nagpur division, Ajni good shed (AGSA) was opened for handling Parcel Cargo Express Trains to facilitate loading of irrigation HDPE pipes in NMGs to eastern parts of the country.
