The BJP coalition government is compromising with the diet of school children. Under the mid-day meal scheme, eggs and fruits were given to the school children to get protein from their diet. But the BJP coalition government has now refused to fund the eggs and fruits and has issued a GR asking the school management to provide money from private donors themselves.
This decision of the government is unfair to the children of ordinary poor families attending government schools. State Congress chief spokesperson Atul Londhe has warned that this decision should be canceled and the funds should be given as before, otherwise we will take to the streets and ask the government to answer.

Reacting in this regard, Atul Londhe said that the Bharatiya Janata Party coalition government takes weird decisions. If the government does not have money for eggs, milk and fruits in the mid-day meal scheme for school children, it means that the financial situation of the government has sunk into the abyss or children from ordinary poor households are not getting nutritious food. 5 kg of free grain and INR 1500 were given to the poor per month so that these people will keep silent and not question the government.
However, the Congress party is against this decision of the government. One egg is given to school students once a week, how much funds will be required for it? It is not that the government does not have that much money. The government wastes crores of rupees to advertise itself, but if it wants to give something to the poor, how come there is no fund? Questioned Atul Londhe.
