NCP looks for alliance with Congress

Nariman Point - The discussion on an alliance with the Congress party for the Zilla Parishads and municipal corporation elections in the state is in final stages. Our activists will be given accordingly till January 27 or 28, said Sunil Tatkare, state NCP president, while addressing a press conference here on Wednesday. A meeting of NCP’s state parliamentary board was organised here at NCP state office on Wednesday. No hidden alliance will be formed anywhere in the state and the activists do so at the local level will not be spared and strict action will be taken against them, said Tatkare. He also expected clear stand from the Congress party on the alliance with the NCP in the aforesaid elections.
