On Monday night, a massive fire broke out in Wadala after an oil tanker burst into flames following an accident. The tanker driver was killed on the spot while the other driver suffered injuries.

The incident took place around 10:40 pm near the RTO office on the Sewri-Chembur road. The tanker that was plying towards Chunabhatti had hit another vehicle and lost balance before it exploded. One of the fire officials informed that there was no one in the tanker other than the driver.

According to police, the speeding oil tanker tried overtaking the tempo from the left side when the tempo was hit and the driver was severely injured. Meanwhile, the oil tanker lost its balance and fell, followed by an explosion.
