Maria Zuberi's husband has claimed that UY Aviation is responsible for the crash and despite warnings from his wife about bad weather, the company allegedly forced her to test the flight.
Maria Zuberi - the pilot who died in a chartered plane accident in Ghatkopar - had apparently warned against taking off as the weather conditions weren't suitable but the company decided to go ahead with take off anyway, according to her husband.
Maria’s husband, Advocate Prabhat Kathuria said that he had spoken to Maria before the plane took off. In the brief conversation, Maria had notified her husband about the situation and how the company still insisted that the plane should take off.
Kathuria claimed that even after his wife explained the situation to her seniors, they decided to go ahead with the plane test. Following this, Kathuria has demanded strict action against UY Aviation for their irresponsible actions.
CM Devendra Fadnavis said that the culprits will not be discharged and the truth will come out eventually after the investigation. If what Kathuria claims is true, then this is an act of negligence by UY Aviation as no company has the right to put the life of their employees in danger after realising the potential danger.
The VT-UPZ Plane was purchased from the U.P. Government by UY Aviation. The flight's maiden journey was tragic for five people who lost their lives in the crash.
