Transport Minister Pratap Sarnaik has instructed the MMRDA that the concreting works of Gaimukh to Dahisar Metro and Gaimukh Ghat road should be started together. Saranaik also directed that the Thane Municipal Corporation (TMC) should speed up all the necessary cooperation and coordination to implement the internal road development works in the Ghodbunder area.
Since Gaimukh Metro and road works are started together, the works will be completed simultaneously and traffic will not have to be stopped frequently. Citizens will face some inconvenience during this period, but will get better facilities in the future. The problem of traffic jam will be solved, Sarnaik explained.
A meeting was organised under the chairmanship of Transport Minister Pratap Sarnaik to review various development projects to be done through MMRDA from the government funds of Thane Municipal area, Nagla Bandar Bay coastal development project, traffic situation on Ghodbunder road etc.
