On Wednesday, April 2, 2025 the Water Supply Department of the Thane Municipal Corporation severed 24 unauthorised water connections in the Diva-Agasan area. Additionally, an illegal tanker filling station operating in the same area was immediately shut down. The action and inspection drive will continue.
Thane Municipal Commissioner Saurabh Rao had instructed strict action against unauthorised water connections. Accordingly, under the guidance of Additional Commissioner Prashant Rode and Municipal Engineer Prashant Sonagra, the operation to sever unauthorised water connections in the Diva-Agasan area was carried out on Wednesday. The pump and pipeline of the illegal tanker filling station in the same area were seized, and the station was closed. A police complaint regarding this matter will also be filed, as informed by Suburban Engineer Vinod Pawar.

From the illegal tanker filling station, tanks and motor pumps were seized. This action was carried out jointly by the Anti-Encroachment Department and the Water Supply Department of the Mumbra-Diva Ward Committee, under the supervision of Deputy Commissioner Manish Joshi, Deputy Commissioner (Encroachment) Shankar Patole, Suburban Engineer Vinod Pawar, Executive Engineer Shashikant Salunke, and Prashant Phirke.
