The Siddhivinayak Temple Trust in Prabhadevi has reported record earnings of INR 133 crore for the financial year 2024-25. This marks a 15% increase compared to INR 114 crore in the previous year.

The announcement was made by executive officer Veena Patil. The temple’s managing committee revealed its annual budget on March 31. The estimated revenue for the fiscal year 2025-26 is set at INR 154 crore.

A temple official confirmed that the original revenue estimate of INR 114 crore was exceeded by 15%. The rise in donations has been linked to an improved darshan experience. Unlike other large temples, Siddhivinayak allows devotees more time for darshan.

This has encouraged more people to donate. According to deputy executive officer Sandeep Rathod, each devotee gets 10 to 15 seconds for darshan, which is longer than the 5 to 7 seconds at many other shrines. Reports suggest that this extra time makes devotees more inclined to contribute.

The temple earns revenue from various sources. Offerings in donation boxes, puja services, online donations, and the sale of Prasad items such as laddoo and nariyal wadi contribute to the earnings. Gold and silver donations also play a key role. These funds support the trust’s welfare projects.

Gold and silver auctions have also brought in additional income. Despite rising costs of food and gold, devotees continue to make significant contributions. However, prasad is always sold at cost price.
