Mumbai’s BEST Undertaking has introduced air-conditioned (AC) bus services on three important routes starting Thursday, March 27. It will improve public transport and provide better comfort for passengers.

A total of 30 new AC buses will be added to the fleet. These buses are leased from private operators. They will be introduced in phases after receiving approvals from authorities.

The new AC routes include A-7, A-511, and AC-53:

- A-7, previously known as 7 Ltd, will run between Vijay Vallabh Chowk and Vikhroli.

- A-511, earlier called 511 Ltd, will connect Ghatkopar and Nerul.

- AC-53, which was previously Corridor Route C-53, will operate between Ghatkopar and Kalamboli.

On the A-7 route, eight buses will be introduced gradually. They will run every 25 to 50 minutes. The first bus from Vikhroli will start at 6:00 AM. From Vijay Vallabh Chowk, the first bus will depart at 7:20 AM. The last bus from Vijay Vallabh Chowk will leave at 10:00 PM, while the last one from Vikhroli will depart at 11:30 PM.

Eight buses will also be deployed on the A-511 route. These buses will run every 25 to 30 minutes. The first service from Ghatkopar will begin at 4:05 AM, while the first bus from Nerul will leave at 4:45 AM. The final buses will depart at 12:30 AM from Nerul and 4:25 PM from Ghatkopar.

The AC-53 route will have 14 buses, introduced in phases. The buses will run every 15 to 20 minutes. The service will start at 6:00 AM from Ghatkopar and at 7:10 AM from Kalamboli. The final buses will leave Kalamboli at 8:30 PM and Ghatkopar at 10:10 PM.
