Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, the founder of Hindu Swarajya, is the symbol of Maharashtra's identity. Stating that the identity and existence of the state is due to Shivaji Maharaj, Governor Ramesh Bais suggested that the state should take up the plan to create Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Circuit on the occasion of the 350th coronation ceremony of Chhatrapati  Shivaji Maharaj. On this occasion, the Governor appealed to start a campaign for the conservation of the forts in the state.


On the occasion of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj's 350th Shiv Rajyabhishek ceremony, the Rath Yatra carrying Sahastra Jalkalash from Mumbai to Durgaraj Raigad was flagged off from Raj Bhavan Mumbai on Friday (26th) by Governor Ramesh Bais, who was speaking at that time.


Cultural Affairs Minister Sudhir Mungantiwar, Cultural Affairs Department Principal Secretary Vikas Kharge, Raigad Memorial Mandal Executive Officer Sudhir Thorat, Shri Shiv Rajyabhishek Dinotsav Seva Samiti Sunil Pawar and Balambhat and Bhikambahat's 17th descendant Mahant Sudhirdas Maharaj attended the event. .

Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj's life work is an inspiration for every Indian. Maharaj was a seer. The governor said that he had already recognised the intentions of the East India Company as well as the possible threats from Aurangzeb and had prepared the armour. The Governor said that Shivaji Maharaj's policy was to promote business and he always respected women.


On this occasion Sahastra Jalkalashas collected from various rivers and lakes across the country were worshipped by the Governor. This Jalkalash is going to be used for the coronation ceremony.

Sudhir Mungantiwar expressed his happiness that Sahastra Jalkalash Yatra is starting from the Raj Bhavan which is adjacent to the Banganga area which is a pious area with the existence of Lord Ram and said that Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj was lucky to be born in Maharashtra. He said that holy water from rivers across the country will be used for the coronation ceremony to be held at Raigad on June 2, he said that it is an effort to carry the thoughts of Shivaji Maharaj to the next generations.
