A massive fire broke out in a warehouse of a factory near Tarapur industrial area in Palghar this morning. The finished and raw materials in the godown got burnt in this fire. As a result of the fire, a large amount of black smoke spread in the sky in Boisar area, the citizens had to suffer a lot of pollution.

The broke took place at the warehouse of Responsive Industries, a factory that manufactures ropes in Betegaon, near Tarapur Industrial Area, around 7 am. The fire created a huge amount of smoke as the raw and finished goods in the godown were burnt.

As soon as the fire was reported, a total of four teams of Tarapur fire brigade, Tarapur Nuclear Power Plant and Palghar Municipal Council immediately reached the spot and started efforts to control the fire.

A large amount of black smoke was billowing into the sky as the fire was smoldering due to the raw materials stored in the godown. Citizens suffered a lot due to pollution due to black smoke spreading all over Boisar area.

After three hours, around 10 am, the fire brigade managed to bring the fire under control. As soon as the fire was detected, workers were evacuated from the factory and warehouse area in time, so there was no loss of life.

At this time, the fire brigade has expressed a preliminary estimate that the fire started due to a short circuit.
