When the footfall of the ticketless passengers rises, it causes inconvenience to the passengers who buy tickets. The same situation is being seen in AC local trains, first class and general compartments taking advantage of the crowd. 

A session of ticket checking is underway to stop these ticketless passengers. Rubina Akib Inamdar, a female ticket inspector of Central Railway, caught 150 ticketless passengers and collected a fine of INR 45,705 in a single day. He is being praised everywhere for this.


A frequent ticket checking campaign is being implemented to prevent the travel of ticketless passengers in Mumbai section of Central Railway, to ensure safe and comfortable travel of ticket holders. 81,709 ticketless passengers were apprehended till January 2025 in the current financial year, especially through ticket checking campaigns in air-conditioned locales and at stations. A fine of INR 2.70 crore was recovered from them. A thorough ticket check is done by the Tejaswini team.

Tejaswini Squad 2 Passenger Ticket Inspector (TTI) Rubina Akib Inamdar reported cases of 150 ticketless passengers on Monday. A fine of INR 45,705 was recovered from them. It recorded 47 cases of ticketless travel in local first class coaches. 


A fine of INR 16,430 was recovered in this case. So, 63 cases were reported traveling in first class coaches with second class coach tickets. A fine of INR 19,150 was recovered in this case. A fine of INR 350 was recorded against three cases of unreserved baggage, while a fine of INR 9,775 was collected against 37 other cases.


Passenger ticket inspector Rubina Akib Inamdar became the first to collect the maximum penalty in a single day in the Mumbai section of Central Railway.


INR 35k fine collected in 129 days

Earlier, Passenger Ticket Inspector (TTI) Sudha Dwivedi set a record by catching 129 ticketless passengers and collecting a fine of Rs INR 35,550 in a single day. But, Rubina broke this record. Rubina is a national level kabaddi player and was appointed from sports quota in 2013, informed a senior Central Railway official.
