Mumbai-Bound Exit At Panvel On Mumbai-Pune Expressway To Remain Close For 6 Months

Yashwantrao Chavan Mumbai-Pune Expressway Kalamboli Marg, the Panvel exit to Mumbai, has been closed for six months from February 11 due to construction. The Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation (MSRDC) is undertaking the construction of a new flyover and underpass as part of the Kalamboli Junction Improvement Project.


Kalamboli Junction will be upgraded by the Maharashtra State Infrastructure Development Corporation. It has been informed that new flyover and subway work will be taken up at Kalamboli Circle. This work is likely to cause traffic jams at Kalamboli Circle. 


It has been decided to close the Panvel exit on the Mumbai channel of the Yashwantrao Chavan Mumbai-Pune Expressway for the next 6 months from February 11 to avoid traffic congestion.

Accordingly, alternative routes have been fixed for all types of vehicles (light and heavy vehicles) going to Panvel, Mumbra and JNPT from Panvel Exit on Mumbai-Pune Expressway via Kalamboli Circle. Panvel exit will remain closed for the next 6 months.


Alternative routes for transportation?

All types of vehicles going to Panvel, Goa, JNPT from Yashwantrao Chavan Mumbai Pune Expressway will be able to take a left turn at Konphata (Km 9.600) and take NH 48 from Palaspe Circle to their destination.


An alternative route has been designated for all vehicles traveling towards Kalyan-Shilphata from Taloja via the Mumbai-Pune Expressway (Panvel Exit). Vehicles should continue straight on the Panvel-Sion Highway, take a right turn under the Purushartha Petrol Pump Uddarn Bridge at Roadpali, and proceed via NH-48 to reach their destination.
