Deepak Tilekar (28), a boat mechanic working in a private company responsible for maintenance and repair of Navy boats, had come to Mumbai to repair the boat. At least once every month he had to visit the Navy office. But this time his visit was the last. Deepak Tilekar (28) was a boat mechanic living in Hyderabad.
Deepak has four brothers, Deepak was the youngest among the siblings. He started working in a private company five years ago. That company had maintenance and repair work of boats in Naidla. So he had to come to Mumbai frequently on behalf of the company.
At least once every month he used to come to Mumbai for maintenance of the boat engine. This month too, he had come to Mumbai for maintenance and repair of the boat's engine. He stayed at Chembur. On Wednesday, he had gone to inspect the engine of a Navy speed boat. Deepak's brother Shravan Tilekar informed that he was sitting beside the sailor in the boat at the time of the accident.
