Mumbai Influencer Dies After Falling 300-Foot Off Waterfall While Filming Reel

Anvi Kamdar, who was known for her travel posts on Instagram, passed away after falling into a Kumbhe waterfall in Raigad near Mumbai


Preliminary investigations have revealed that Anvi's accident occurred while capturing the beauty of the Kumbh falls in Raigad on camera which claimed her life. Anvi Kamdar has more than two lakh 54 thousand followers on Instagram. She studied CA and also worked in a company called Deloitte for some time. Anvi Kamdar, who lives in Mumbai, came to shoot the Kumbhe falls. On July 16, hundreds of tourists had come to Kumbhe Falls including Anvi Kamdar - who is known as a reel star - and her friends. Anvi, who came forward to take the picture, slipped and she fell into a deep ravine of about 300 to 350 feet.

The incident took place on July 16 around eleven in the morning. People contacted Mangaon police, following which, Mangaon Police Sub-Divisional Officer, Mangaon Police Inspector Nivritti Borhade, Mangaon Tahsildar Vikas Garudkar along with Salunke Rescue Team, Seascape Rescue Team, Kolad Rescue Team, Maha distribution staff, health system were present at the spot.


All the systems were rushed to the spot. The rescue team started working. After a rescue of almost 6 hours, Anvi was taken out. Then she was immediately admitted to Mangaon hospital, however, she was badly injured. Doctors tried saving her, but she passed away. She was declared dead during treatment. 


Meanwhile, Mangaon Police Inspector has appealed to all the tourists including the young generation not to risk their lives while sightseeing or taking selfies, reels.
