Residents have complained that cars are parked illegally in the Shivaji Park ground, which has been in discussion for the past few years due to the dust in the ground. The residents have objected to the parking of private cars at the back of the scout guide hall and if these cars are not removed, the residents have warned that they will park their cars in the ground.

Prakash Belwade of Shivaji Park Residents Association said that no vehicle is allowed to park in the grounds. But if there is a wedding or a function in the scout guide hall, it causes trouble to the residents. The tenancy agreement has been violated in several respects by the Scout Guide Hall operators. But the municipal administration is ignoring it. Unauthorised construction is also being done in the building of Scout Guide hall. Now, if these marriage ceremony cars are also parked in the field, we will oppose it. Only when there is an event on the ground, the car can be parked on the ground. The court has allotted 45 days for the program in the ground. Belwade also asked that if the trains are parked at other times, will the days be reduced from these 45 days.

The Scout Guide Department denied the allegations

We have nothing to do with those cars. If we have any events, it is made clear in advance that there is no parking space. You should make your arrangements to park the car. Whether it's a wedding or a cultural event, this is what we tell them. But since they are open through entry for the event, these cars must have been parked by someone.

The Scout Guide building is on the side. So these cars are not those who came to our event. If the cars are parked, they should be called to the traffic police and removed, fined, we have nothing to do with it, the officials related to the scout guide hall responded. Maharashtra Scout Guide comes under the sports department of the state government and this place has been given to them by the municipal corporation on lease.
