The Mumbai Traffic Police has issued an advisory to prevent congestion and ensure smooth vehicular movement in south Mumbai during the Maharashtra Budget Session 2025, which has commenced today, March 3. The budget session will conclude on March 26.
According to an official notification issued by Pradnya Jedge, Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP), Traffic, Mumbai Police, these restrictions will remain in place until the conclusion of the session.
The Maharashtra Budget for the fiscal year 2025-26 is set to be presented in both Houses of the legislature on March 10.
All emergency vehicles including fire brigades, ambulances and police vehicles are exempted from the below mentioned traffic restrictions.
List of Roads Closed:
The Ramnath Goenka Marg, from Sakhar Bhavan to its junction with Vidhan Bhavan will remain closed for all vehicular traffic, as and when required, during the Maharashtra Budget Session.
Temporary Suspension of Pay-and-Park Facilities:
Pay-and-park facility has been temporarily removed on -
Jamanalal Bajaj Road (Usha Mehta Chowk - Dead End)
Dorabji Tata Road (Murli Deora Chowk - Genda Point)
Vinay K Shah Road (Jamanalal Bajaj Road - Murli Deora Chowk)
Ramnath Goenka Marg (Sakhar Bhavan - Vidhan Bhavan)
Vidhan Bhavan Road (Union Bank Building - Madam Cama Road).
Designated parking areas:
Dignitaries will be able to park their vehicles on Free Press Journal and VV Rao Road.
