Meanwhile, the death cases in road accidents have seen a significant rise in Navi Mumbai and Thane rural areas during August 2024 compared to the same month last year.

As per reports released on October 3, fatalities in Mumbai city decreased by 11.5%, while Thane city saw a decline of 12.5%. In August 2023, Mumbai recorded 217 road accidents resulting in 26 deaths.
