Kharghar: CIDCO Opens New Bridge to Traffic
SHARES

Another gateway to enter Kharghar Colony has been opened for vehicles on the occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi. The CIDCO board has spent about one crore rupees for this. This bridge will allow vehicles to go directly from Sion Panvel Highway to Kharghar Colony via Kopra Bridge. Earlier the bridge at this place was for light vehicles. The demand for construction of a new wide bridge here has been repeatedly demanded by motorists for many years.

During the Maharashtra Bhushan award ceremony at Kharghar, this bridge was constructed as a temporary bridge near Kopra village. But after the demand of the citizens to build a permanent bridge, the CIDCO board constructed a 22 metre wide and seven and a half metre long bridge on the creek bed.

Highgate will be installed to avoid heavy traffic from this bridge. Due to this, the journey on this route going from Sector 12 to Sector 35 without any hindrance will be faster. Also, the problem of traffic jams will be solved by building this bridge. This newly constructed bridge is convenient for motorists.
