A gas leak occurred from the Nikachem company in Ambernath's Morivali MIDC around Thursday night. Due to this, chemical fumes spread throughout the city of Ambernath. Citizens have started suffering due to this gas leak.


Citizens have started suffering from burning eyes, difficulty in breathing and sore throat. On getting the information about the incident, the fire brigade officials rushed to the company and inspected it. However, an infuriating matter came to light that MPCB's Kalyan Regional Officer sent the driver to the company without coming. Therefore, strict action is now being demanded against such irresponsible officers of MPCB. According to information received, there is a company named Nikachkem Products at Plot No. 43 in Morivali MIDC, Ambernath. Chemical production is done in this company.

MIDC fire brigade and Ambernath municipal fire brigade personnel located the company and came there to inspect and take measures to stop the chemical fumes.
