To help fulfill the common man's dream of owning a home, the MHADA will soon conduct a lottery for approximately 2,000 houses in Thane. Recently, MHADA received around 24,922 applications for the sale of 2,147 flats and plots in the Konkan Mandal, accompanied by a deposit amount. Many applicants were disappointed by the lottery results. However, there is no need for concern, as MHADA's Konkan Mandal is now planning to offer about 2,000 new houses.
Among these, 1,173 houses will be available in Chitalsar, Thane, marking the largest number in this round. Over the past 18 months, MHADA Konkan Mandal has held three lotteries, successfully helping nearly 10,000 people fulfill their dream of owning a home. This year, the Konkan Mandal is ready to conduct another lottery, with a total of about 2,000 houses.

The housing stock for this lottery will consist of 15% under the Housing Scheme and 20% under the Comprehensive Scheme. MHADA has already constructed seven 22-floor buildings in Chitalsar. However, there are ongoing water and road issues in the area, as the Thane Municipal Corporation has not yet issued a no-objection certificate (NOC) for these buildings. As soon as the NOC is obtained, these houses will also be included in the upcoming lottery.
